About the Event
This is an open-level competition. Participants must have at least 3 levels of resistance bands, loop-style, and be registered on the Empowered Clubhouse website event page to participate.
The competition will consist of the 4 different events:
1. AMRAP 5 minute circuits (x2)
AMRAP: As Many Rounds As Possible of a set of exercises in a 5 minute time limit.
2. Hold Exercises (x2)
The lifter has to maintain a hold for as long as they can, like a plank, for example.
3. Timed Exercises (x2)
The lifter is to do as many reps of a particular exercise as possible within a time limit given.
4. Max-out Exercises (x2)
The lifter has to do as many reps as they can, similar to a Timed Exercise, but there is no time limit.
Lifters will be paired up so that they have a spotter to properly record their efforts and will be scored according to a relative scoring system. This means they will be scored for each event according to their ranking among the other lifters. Each event is worth 100 points and lifters earn points based on their finish ranking. For example, if you finish first place in an event, you score 100 points. Extra points will be given for things like enthusiasm and sportsmanship. The Lifter with the most points wins the gold medal.
Awards for the gold medalist finisher, silver and bronze.
