At-Home Practice for Boxing I Fighters

Wednesday morning boxing, what a way to kick off the second half of the work week!

TODAY’S FOCUS:

1. Upper cut

2. Slip

PRO TIPS…

1. When you slip, think of being like a spiral staircase. The staircase goes down but it

also curves.

2. When throwing the upper cut, don't wind up like a bicycle wheel. Instead drop your

fist a little, lower yourself a little like a spiral staircase, and then extend the wrist out

when you come up the "spiral staircase".

3. Make sure you're protecting yourself -- keep your guard up and guard close to your

face.

4. Use your shoulders to get more of a stretch, more reach. The more reach you utilise,

the more space you'll be able to put between you and your target, which ultimately

means you'll have more safety.
