At-Home Practice for Boxing I, Week 2

Today we stepped away from the punching bag, used some canned food, and really tried to focus on our basic foundation of boxing, the jab, straight. We also worked on learning the hook and weaving. Me, Coach Amy is an Orthodox fighter, most fighters are, so I lead with my left. Here's a little breakdown of the difference between Orthodox and Southpaw.

If you are ORTHODOX, you lead with your left.

Your left foot is front.

You jab with your left.

Your lead hook is your left hook and your rear hook is your right hook.

If you are SOUTHPAW, you lead with your right.

Your right foot is front.

You jab with your right.

Your lead hook is your right hook and your rear hook is your left hook.
