At-Home Practice for Boxing II

Great training today fighters. I was really impressed with your efforts and your skills, honestly! Keep up the hard work.

As noted, I have At-Home Practice for you. It's just something extra for you to work on in between our workouts, to help you improve upon your boxing and motivate you to continue learning.

Today I had you do a crazy-ass long combination, a "Progressive Combo" that I broke down for you to practice. Here was the combo:

1-1/ 2/ left hook/ right double/ 1-Bs, 2

(...that's a double jab, left hook, right body, right hook, jab, body straight, straight.)

I then took that combo and added defence, so this is what is became:

1-1, slip/ 2, back step/ left hook, round weave/ right double, weave/ 1-Bs, 2, double back step (with jab out)

(anything "round" means both sides", so round weave means for you to weave to the one side and then again to the other side.)

For your At-Home Practice I want you to breakdown the full combo so that you can build up to it. It's a crazy long combo, I know, but today I threw the body straight at you and the body shot. I also introduced slipping to most of you and we'll be using all that a lot.)

At-Home Practice

10x 1-1, slip

10x. 1-1, slip/ 2, back step

10x 1-1, slip/ 2, back step/ left hook, round weave

10x 1-1, slip/ 2, back step/ left hook, round weave/ right double, weave

10x 1-1, slip/ 2, back step/ left hook, round weave/ right double, weave, 1-Bs, 2, double back step (with jab out)

My recommendation is to write the full combo on a piece of paper and simply tape it to the wall for you to see while you're training. We will be using this combo as a review at the start of our next Boxing II together and then will be upgrading it so please be familiar with it.
