"DING, DING"... Round Three, begin!

LEVEL ONE, WEEK 1

Introducing our newest fighters to join our crew of fighters, we've got Angela, Cole, Khrysz, and Chloe. Welcome fighters.

To get you started on the right path of badassery and sick boxing, you'll need to be familiar with the 5 basic combos that I use to build upon.


The 5 Basic Combos:

  1. 1-2

  2. 1-2, 1-2

  3. 2, 1-2

  4. 4 = 1-2-3-4 (= 1-2-1-2)

  5. 1,2,3,4 (= 1,2,1,2)

Remember, 1 is your jab and 2 is your straight.


If you're right handed, you're an orthodox fighter and your jab is your left. If you're left handed, you're a south paw and your jab is your right. In my combos above, the comma (,) signifies foot movement. You need to practice the above combos going forward and back. CLICK HERE to see an Instagram post I filmed showing them. LEVEL TWO, WEEK 1

Going strong into the next round, Round Three, fighting out of Empowered, we have Karol, Belle, Christina, Madille, Saemgyeol, Ayni, Bianca, Ish, and Hindy. Welcome back fighters.


Some of you had problems with the transitional step in this today's session so I'll break it down for you here.


There are 3 different kinds of transitional steps:

  1. Forward

  2. Back(ward)

  3. Half back


The transitional step combo I set for you was:

1-2, 2 (right step), 1 (left step), 2 (pivot rear foot)


FOR FORWARD, your steps are forward.

FOR BACK(WARD), you steps are backward.

FOR HALF BACK, your first step is forward, then step backward for the second.
