I'm all about affirmations and the power of positive thinking. And while I wouldn't say I'm lille Miss Sunshine and think the world is all rainbows and unicorns, I do see the difference that controlling my thoughts and managing my mental wellness has on the rest of my life, not just my workouts. So I'd like to share with you a little video that popped on my YouTube feed the other day. When I was cutting for my last bodybuilding show, I used to start every early morning fasted cardio session with an affirmation YouTube video. I'd lace up my laces and just sit there and listen to it. Then I would start my fasted cardio. It'd be 5:45am and I'd be sitting there, itching to just get my fasted cardio over and done with but I always made it a priority to listen to a motivational video before I started my fasted cardio and my day.
