Human Trafficking is the 2nd biggest crime in the world.
There are 784,000 of our Philippines community who are victimized through Human Trafficking. Space is limited-- please sign up using the Eventbrite link.
Our beneficiary organization will be Voice of the Free (formerly known as the Visayan forum), an anti-human trafficking organization in Anti-Polo who house over 50 rescued girls. The evening will be filled with talks about Human trafficking, motivational speeches, acoustic singing sessions, networking, alcohol, non-alcoholic drinks, food.
This social event at The Refined will aim to fulfill 3 goals:
1. Challenge the perception
The victims are usually women due to low esteem and the traffickers are usually men. Let us challenge this viewpoint. We invite you to a social event which will change this perception. There will be ladies leaders speaking and gentlemen who choose to take a stand against human trafficking.
2. Support the bigger picture
Corporate Social Responsibility must continue to increase as the Philippines continues to increase it's startups, community organizations, SME's, and Enterprise business communities. This will help ensure that businesses of all levels maintain good values as part of their company culture. Let's support our community!
3. Disrupt Corporate Social Responsibility
Social awareness over a beer and food at the elegant networking space of Gentleman's grooming saloon?
Yes! Think Charity event + Happy Hour + James Bond 007 drinking atmosphere
How you can participate:
The event is about how we can continue to help our community members. Simply taking some time to attend, learn, and share is a powerful
2. Get a Refined service
The Refined will be doing a special promo where proceeds from the Refined gentleman grooming services for this event will go directly to the Voice of the Free organization.

About Voice of the Free:
Since 1991, Cecilia Flores Oebanda has been saving lives and rebuilding them. She founded, and continues to spearhead, the Visayan Forum (now called Voice of the Free), a Philippine non-government organization known for its innovative and sustainable solutions that address modern-day slavery, human trafficking, and domestic servitude of Filipinos all over the world.
Since its founding, Voice of the Free has engaged over 400 partners from local and national government agencies to business and private sectors. Among these partners is Katie Ford, former CEO of New York based modeling agency Ford Models and founder of Freedom for All- an organization that globally combats sex trafficking, forced labor, child labor, and debt bondage.
The stories of the victims are nothing but heartbreaking, brutal, and devastating. But to have people rooting and working for their redemption transform these stories into a narrative of hope, of strength, of triumphs, and of undaunted spirits.
